What are the ticker symbols for the thrift savings plan funds? They don't have any. They are traded on a public exchange. Here is the TSP fund comparison matrix you can use to determine what mutual funds are similar.

Is Buy and Hold a Good Theory for Stock Investing?

I concur with this article. I've lost a lot of money because of passivity and thinking that the little money I do have saved would benefit from a buy-and-hold forever strategy.
